Cooking Tips for Our Beef

Turn the heat down to 275 degrees for oven-roasted cuts, but don’t increase the cooking time.

Sear the meat for a few minutes at high temperature in olive oil or butter before cooking it gently at a lower temperature than conventional beef, either in the oven, a crockpot, or on the stove or grill.

Always thaw the meat slowly in the refrigerator, or faster in a pan of tepid water, but never in a microwave! Let the meat come to room temperature before cooking. Preheat the oven, stovetop, grill, or crockpot before adding meat.

Marinade grass-fed beef in an acidic marinade, which helps tenderize it by breaking down the meat’s connective tissue.
